35 Multilingual Candidates - Technical Support & Customer Service

This case study details how mgi recruitment assisted in the multilingual recruitment needs of a leading global IT and consultancy firm between September 2011 and November 2011.


Recruitment Requirements

We were asked to find of 35 multilingual candidates for technical support and customer service roles with specific skills required for successful candidates.

Skills required:

  • Both German and English language speakers
  • Experience in technical support and customer services

mgi recruitment’s response

We conducted research to gain an in-depth understanding of the core values of the company and appointed an account manager as a single point of contact between both companies. Our marketing team then set about advertising the position throughout Europe.

Recruitment process

Following responses from the successful advertising campaign, we began the initial screening process in order to determine the most suitable candidates and make the recruitment process as efficient as possible for our client.


Stages of the screening process:

  • Screening of Candidates on German and English verbal skills and written skills
  • Screening of Candidates with Technical Assessment
  • Suitable CVs submitted to client

Interview process 

Once they had received the CVs of the shortlisted candidates, the client conducted the interview process themselves in the following stages:
-Further screening and assessment of German language skills
-HR Interview
-Final Interview with a Team Manager 

Once the successful candidates had been identified, we got in touch with them and from then on the client spoke to the successful candidates directly.

Recruitment Outcome

  • 107 CVs were sent to the client from mgi recruitment
  • 16 candidates were hired 



Following this successful recruitment drive, a new Service Level Agreement (SLA) was set in place between mgi recruitment and the client in order to build on the existing relationship and further improve the efficiency of the process for future hires.
